The 2024 Everglades Seafood Festival marks its 54th year of celebrating the “Stone Crab Capital of the World” and local businesses. Attracting 50,000-70,000 people from across the country, this legacy event is hosted by the Florida Stone Crabbers Association with generous support from the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Everglades City is a major producer of stone crab, and the festival supports local fishermen and the communities that keep them in business. The festival also benefits ongoing, post-Hurricane Ian community reconstruction while creating enhanced opportunities for Everglades City’s youth and children.
